Speak Up and Stay Alive RadiOH!  is a one hour, fast-paced weekly talk radio show focused on the subject of hospital and healthcare safety and patient advocacy. The show airs every Saturday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on WHKW 1220 AM in Cleveland, Ohio and simulcast on WHKZ 1440 Warren/Youngstown, Ohio
(but broadcast throughout the world via live Internet streaming)

The book – Speak Up and Stay Alive – the patient advocate hospital survival guide, written by Pat Rullo, host of the radio show - has rapidly become an established and trusted resource. Pat has spoken to thousands of people since the book’s debut in late January 2012 and her free events help communities to increase health literacy and learn how to stay out of harm's way during any healthcare encounter.

The format and topic cause listeners to perk up and say OH! - It's interactive talk, call-ins, interviews, lively discussions and commentary - bringing healthcare hazards and perils to the forefront - what they are, why and how they happen and what we as patients can do to avoid them.

It's not about pointing a finger at doctors, nurses, or hospitals - but rather exposes and explores our defective healthcare system and offers practical and often simple ways to stay safe - in an easy to follow yet entertaining manner. Listeners tune in each week to gather and build their own arsenal of hospital/healthcare safety tools and tips.

Sample segments include: Hospital Hazard of the Week - Infection Protection Tips - Share to Spare - Holistic Attention to Prevention - Hospital Safety Minute - Rants and Raves - Voice of the People - News and Views - Personality Pointers - Advocacy in Action - Senior Moment and more ...
